Here are some pictures on some of the earlier sowings.

We had a lot of frog eggs in all our ponds; this is great news as this will greatly reduce any problems we might have with slugs.

Anyway I did another lot of sowing, included in the list were:
another type of lettuce, onion (a bit late), Golden acre cabbage, spring onions, Basil, Garlic bulbs, Bush Tomatoes, Swedes, and pumpkin.
The onions will be for the tunnel, I have onion sets for outside as I didn’t start the seeds last June, I could have sown them in January but I was to busy. The lettuce is for outside under cloches. The Basil is also for inside the tunnel, and also I only planted a few pumpkins also for the tunnel. I like to try and grow a really big one every year. The rest will eventually go outside ones I have hardened them of. The garlic of course has been planted in its permanent bed out side, by just planting the bulbs.
I also prepared two more beds for the onion sets, by adding old compost and soil that I had spare. All my beds are deep beds, were the topsoil goes down at least 2 feet.
I also Started a sowing of carrots in the tunnel, as the ones from last year are coming to an end, and it is to early still to start them of out side.
